GAY, Mrs. Jessie Rolen, a resident of 3312 Drexel Road, Montgomery, AL, died Sunday, February 20, 1994, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Gay was born on September 12, 1913, in Montgomery. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, the Rebecca Sunday School Class & the Women's Missionary Union. She was also a member of the Ridgefield and Edgewood Garden Clubs. She graduated in 1936 from the University of Alabama and was a member of Alpha Z Delta Sorority. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 22, 1994, at 2:00 p.m. from Leak-Memory Chapel with Rev. Jay Wolf officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Annex Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Jackson Gay.
She is survived by her two brothers and their wives, James Fraser Rolen & Pat and David Zack Rolen & Hilda; four nieces and nephews, Julia Rolen Vinson, Gay Rolen Winters, Indian Harbor Beach, FL, James Frazer Rolen, Birmingham, AL and James Zack Rolen, II; nine great-nieces & nephews.
Active pallbearers will be James Frazer Rolen, Jr., James Zack Rolen, II, Craig Olin Vinson, Craig Olin Vinson, Jr., Mike Hill and Cliff Dixon. Honorary pallbearers will be Alva Ray, Harry Snow, Charles Dixon, Raymond Boykin, Emmett Poundstone, Jim Hill, Frank Jehle, Will Martin, Ron Sellers, George Teague, Judge Joe Phelps and members of the Rebecca Sunday School Class.
Visitation will be at 3312 Drexel Road, Montgomery.
