Jessie E. Hatcher

Services for Jessie Marie Emmons Hatcher were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, June 20, in the chapel of Southern Funeral Home with Dr. Calvin Phelps officiating. Burial was in the Sikes Cemetery under direction of Southern.

Mrs. Hatcher, 84, of Monroe died Saturday, June 18, 1988 at North Monroe Community Hospital.

She was a native and former resident of Sikes, La., and a former member of the Tri-L Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church, Winnfield. She was a retired Winn Parish teacher.

Survivors include one son, Douglas Hatcher of Beaumont, Texas; one daughter, Jimmye Akins of Monroe; a daughter in law, Mrs. Carroll (Jean) Hatcher of Winnfield; two sisters, Ava Parker of Winnfield and Bertie White of Lake Charles; two brothers, Roy Emmons of Lake Charles and Reuel Emmons of Sikes; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
