Carrico, Jessie Marie Ewing
A sweet and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she loved all and was loved by all who knew her. A resident of Baker and a former resident of Jonesville, Marie died at 3 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 26, 2006, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was 81, born Aug. 31, 1925, in Trout. Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, on Monday, Nov. 27, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday, Nov. 28, from 9 a.m. until religious service in the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Jimmy Masters and the Rev. William Buie. Interment in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Marie is survived by her husband of 60 years, Vernon O. Carrico; three daughters and sons-in-law: Fran and Alton Griffin, Nell and Sal Denova, and Norma and Milton McLin; six grandchildren, Chris Griffin, Brandi DeLaneuville, Tisha Horn, Sal Denova III, Jaimie Priddy and Michael McLin; eight precious great-grandchildren, Logan, Josie, Caitlin, Alaina, Mia, Ian, Jaylan and Griffin; a brother, Bobby Ewing; and three sisters, Yvonne Masters, Betty Jean Hale and Golda Lu Buie.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Ewing; two brothers, the Rev. T. E. Ewing [and] ``Little'' A. C. Ewing; three sisters, Mildred Masters, Ethel Patten and Georgia Wascom.
Pallbearers will be Chris Griffin, Ricky Horn, Chad DeLaneuville, Sal Denova III, Sam Priddy and Michael McLin.
