LUCAS, JESSIE RAY, SR.
Mr. Jessie Ray Lucas Sr., 61-years-old of Albany, died Wednesday, September
20, 2006, in North Oaks Medical Center.
He was born Wednesday, December 6,
1944, in Wesson, Mississippi. He was a retired member of the Operator
Engineers Local Number 406.
Surviving are his wife, Elaine Morgan Lucas
and two sons, Jessie R. Lucas Jr., Jeffrey P. Lucas; six grandchildren,
Ashley, Jeremy, Amanda, Hollie, Grayson and Logan; three brothers, Bill
Lucas, Grady Lucas, Dennis Kitchen; six sisters, Alice Egan, Margie Morgan,
Rebecca Powell, Linda Campbell, Ruby Ferrara and Nell Roberts.
He was
preceded in death by his mother, Viola Clark; father and stepmother, Grady
and Ruby Lucas; two sisters, Helen Dugas, Henrietta Kelly; and his brother,
William Kitchen[s].
Friends will be received Thursday, September 21, 2006, at
Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond from 6:00 p.m. until
10:00 p.m. and on Friday, September 22, 2006, from 8:00 a.m. until
2:00 p.m.
Services will be held at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home,
Hammond, Friday, September 22, 2006, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev Mike Clark
officiating. Interment will follow in the Morgan Family Cemetery, Hammond.
