Mrs. Jessie Sorey
RAYVILLE -- Funeral services were held at 11:30 a.m. today at the Rayville United Methodist Church for Mrs. Jessie Silk Sorey, 61, of Rayville.
Burial was in the Rayville Masonic Cemetery with the Rev. J. Taylor Wall officiating.
Mrs. Sorey was a life-long resident of Rayville and a member of the United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Herbert Sorey of Rayville; one son, Danny H. Sorey of Monroe; two daughters, Mrs. Joann Durst of Gulfport, Miss., and Mrs. Eddie Sue McKenzie of Arlington, Tex.; two brothers, Allen Silk of Rayville and Oland Silk of Monroe; two sisters, Mrs. F. H. Roberts of Dallas, Tex., and Mrs. Gladys McKenzie of Monroe; her mother, Mrs. Ed Silk of Rayville; and seven grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Tobe Jones, B. E. Barr, Tommy Smith, Walter Kidd, J. E. Chaney and Wayne McCormick.
