Jewell Deason
Jewell Deason, 82, of Centreville, died Nov. 17, 1991, at his home.
Services were to be at 1:30 p.m. today at Rockco Funeral Home
chapel. The Rev. John Tatum was to officiate with burial in
Little Hope Primitive Baptist Church in Eoline, and Rockco
Funeral Home directing.
He was a member of Christian Harmony and Sacred Harp music
association.
Survivors include his wife, Bertha Deason of Centreville; six sons,
R.J. Deason and Edward E. Deason of Centreville,
Simeon Deason of West Blocton, James V. Deason of
Batesburg, S.C., Terry D. Deason of Hueytown, and Robert E.
Deason of Pasadena, Calif.; two daughters, Pat Rigdon of
Bessemer, and Virginia Kovar of Houston, Texas; three
brothers, Curtis L. Deason of Brent, Huey Deason of Centreville,
and Jake Deason of Lenoir City, Tenn.; three sisters, Augusta
Daniel and Pinina Kane, both of Centreville, and Estelle Martin
of Boca Raton, Fla.; 27 grandchildren; and 40 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Joseph Deason, Mark Deason, Eddie Deason,
Glenn Sonnier, Randy Hastings and Kelly Clinton.
