Jewell C. Gerald, 80, died Thursday, August 4, 2005 at home in Temple, TX. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. today at the Stringer Family Funeral Home. Services are 2 p.m. Saturday, August 6, 2005 at the funeral home in Hazlehurst with burial in Strong Hope Cemetery.

Mrs. Gerald was born August 14, 1924 in Faulk to John Yancey and Minnie Belle Brady Elkins. She was the owner of Jewell's Beauty Shop in Temple for 37 years. She was a member of the Southside Church of Christ in Temple.

She was preceded in death by two children, Rachel Sefcik and Audrey Martin.

Survivors include: her husband Howard Gerald of Temple, TX; son, James Gerald of Florence; sister, Dreama Nunnery of Slidell, La; six grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
