Mrs. Jewell Luke Lovern

DEARING, Ga. -- Mrs. Jewell Luke Lovern, 77, entered into rest September 3, 2006, at her residence. She was the wife of the late Joe Ed Lovern.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 5, 2006, at 11 a.m. at Starling Funeral Home with the Rev. George James officiating.

Mrs. Lovern was native of Louisville, Miss., and lived in Dearing for 10 years. She was a homemaker. Interment will be in Coy Methodist Church Cemetery, Philadelphia, Miss.

Survivors include one son, Billy Kemp of Columbus, Mississippi; three daughters, Peggy Kemp, Lousisville, Mississippi, Carolyn Norton, Grovetown and Gale Myers of Dearing; one sister, Eda Steadman, Lousisville, Mississippi and three brothers, Johnnie Luke and Kenneth Luke and Frankie Luke, all from Louisville, Miss. Additional survivors include 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Starling Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
