Jim Amos Freeman
Jim Amos Freeman, 84, of Natchez, died of heart failure Feb. 26, 2000, at Natchez Community Hospital.
Visitation is today at Brookhaven Funeral Home from 5-9 p.m.and Monday at Ebenezer Methodist Church in Franklin County from 10 a.m. until services at 11 a.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Freeman was born Feb. 16, 1916 in Franklin County. He was the son of Ara Freeman Freeman and Thomas Jefferson Freeman.
A Baptist, he was retired from Devinney Construction Co. He was also self-employed as a logger and a farmer.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Edgar Freeman; three sisters, Rittie Rollins, Rosie Freeman and Bertha Freeman; and his wife, Monnie Rollins Freeman.
Survivors include four grandchildren and their spouses, Clayton and Pat Lofton, Timmy and Jennifer Cloy, Tammy and Mickey Gillespie and James Ray and Margaret Ann Reardon; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Annell Lofton of McCall Creek, Florell and Hollis Cloy of Natchez and Jonita and Paul Wallace of Brookhaven; four great-grandchildren, Michelle Julian, Amanda and Ryan Comer and Katie Cloy; and one great-great-grandchild, Angel Renea Julian.
