Jordan Services Set At Walnut Grove

James W. Jordan, 73, died at his home in Brookhaven after a short illness.

Mr. Jordan was a retired merchant and cattlebuyer and had been a resident of Brookhaven for the past ten years. He formerly lived in Walnut Grove where he was a merchant for 25 years.

Survivors are h[i]s wife, Mrs. Zelma Jordan; one son Lyle H. Jordan, of Terry; two daughters, Mrs. George E. Hobbs, of Terry, and Mrs. Troy Lewis, of Brookhaven; one brother, Wess J. Jordan, of Dimmitt, Texas; five sisters, Mrs. Edna Hardage, of Vernon, Texas, Mrs. Mattie Taylor, of Carthage, Mrs. Emma Fortune, of Silver City, Mrs. Sam Savell, of Terry, and Mrs. Lula Carpenter, of Harpersville.

Services will be held from New Hope Baptist church near Walnut Grove Friday at 2:00 p.m., with the Rev. Gary Parker officiating, assisted by the Rev. Jodie Moore.
