Jim Red

JONESBORO (Special) -- Last rites for Jim Red, 83, of Jonesboro, were scheduled to be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at Southern Funeral Home chapel here with the Rev. Bill Jordan officiating.

Interment will be in Killenworth cemetery near Goldonna, under the direction of Southern.

Mr. Red, a retired sawmill employee, died Tuesday in a Jonesboro hospital after an illness of about three weeks.

Surviving are nine daughters, Mrs. J. C. Hall of Columbia, Miss., Mrs. Jack Timer and Miss Bessie Red, both of Springhill, Mrs. Tom Daniel[l]s and Mrs. Audie Boyd, both of Fort Worth, Tex., Mrs. Harold [sic Harrel] Branch of Rayville, Mrs. Lester Hutchinson and Mrs. Ray Dean Vaughn, both of Magnolia, Ark., and Mrs. Loyd McDow[el] of Stillwater, Okla.; two sisters, Mrs. C. H. Haynes of Bossier City and Mrs. R. A. Harvey of Winnfield; and 20 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
