Jo Collins Williams
Jo Collins Williams, 71, of Bellville, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on February 22, 2006. She was born in Shreveport, Louisiana, on May 10, 1934 to Leonard Martin and Marie Peters Collins.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 49 years, Edward H. Williams; and her children, Kimberly W. Franklin and husband Daniel of Houston; Mike Williams of San Antonio and Chris Williams of San Antonio. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Matthew, Nicholas, and Allison Franklin and Darby Williams.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her sisters, Mary Ann Haygood and Chloe Medlock and her brothers, Leonard Martin Collins, Jr. and James Collins.
During their many years in the military, Jo was very active with the Army Community Service. While they lived in San Antonio, she worked for Northeast Independent School District.
A burial service will be held on Tuesday at 10:45 AM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 2909 W. Holcombe Blvd., Houston, Texas 77025-1532.
