DEATH OF J. G. LUCAS

Mansfield -- J. G. Lucas, age 62 years, died at his home here Sunday after several weeks' illness.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Drewett funeral home, with Rev. E. L. Carnett, pastor of the First Baptist church, officiating. Interment was in the Mansfield cemetery.

Deceased was a native of Winn parish, but came to Mansfield 35 years ago as shipping clerk with the Frost Lumber Industries. For the past 10 years he has been connected with the police force.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons and two daughters: C. W. Lucas, chief engineer of the U.S. navy, now stationed at Melbourne, Fla., C. J. Lucas, private in the U.S. Army, now stationed as Roswell, N.M., Mrs. F. W. McAleer, Melbourne, Fla., and Mrs. T. B. Wilson of Mansfield.
