Joe Peyton Chapman

Joe Peyton Chapman, 56, of Gloster, Miss., died Thursday, May 31, 1990, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge. He was a self-employed forestry consultant and a native of Jena.

Services were held at 10 a.m. Friday in Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with Revs. Joe Johnson and Julian Burt, officiating. Burial followed in Welcome Home Cemetery near Grayson under direction of Brown Funeral Home of Gloster.

Survivors include [t]he wife, Ethel Dunn Chapman of Gloster; three daughters, Donna Owens of West Monroe, Genae Brown of Gloster and Bea McWilliams of Augusta, Ga.; four brothers, Vance Chapman of Baton Rouge, Donald Chapman of Jena, Cedric Chapman of Rayville and Wallace Chapman of Larto; two sisters, Ethlyn Strange of Pineville, and Norma Culkin of Acme; his mother, Nellie Chapman of Acme; and six grandchildren.
