Tribute is Paid to John A. McCarty
Healdton, Okla.

July 2: Funeral services for John A. McCarty, a former Healdton business man who died in Wichita Falls, Texas, hospital, were conducted here Monday afternoon with Harvey Bros. of Ardmore in charge. McCarty death was caused by blood poisoning resulting from a slight cut on the right leg. He was taken to the hospital at Wichita Falls where his leg was amputated but it was too late. The body was brought to Healdton to the home of his brother, S.J. McCarty, who lives just north of town where services were held Monday afternoon. McCarty is survived by his widow, his brother, and his parents. He was at one time an automobile salesman here and later owned a store in Healdton before moving to Wichita Falls.
