Services Scheduled Thursday Afternoon For John Cockerham

Funeral services for John Allen Cockerham, who died Monday evening in Los Angeles, Calif., will be conducted at 4 p. m. Thursday at the Chapel of the Chimes at the Rudolph funeral home with Rev. T. Hollis Epton, pastor of the First Baptist Church, and Rev. Charles Priester of Italy, officiating. Burial will be in Bethel cemetery.

Mr. Cockerham was born in Winn Parish, La., on Aug. 9, 1897, and moved to Texas in 1912. He was a veteran of World War I and II, serving in the Navy. He was a member of the Baptist Church at Bethlehem, La., and had been in California for the past eight years.

Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Cockerham of near Midlothian; two brothers, Frank Cockerham of Poteet and F. H. Cockerham of Fort Worth; seven sisters, Mrs. Ola Wade of Fort Worth, Mrs. Letha Graves of Midlothian, Mrs. Cynthia Graves of Italy, Mrs. Ida Hart of San Antonio, Mrs. Opal Gill of Philadelphia, Pa., Mrs. Myrtle White and Mrs. Louise Pickering, both of San Angelo.
