JOHN A. COOLEY

DEQUINCY -- Funeral services for John A. Cooley, 74, were to be at 2 p.m. today in Bear Pentecostal Church near Ragley with the Rev. Arless Glass officiating, assisted by the Rev. Charles Glass and the Rev. T. D. Cardwell.

Burial was to be in Magnolia Cemetery under direction of Snider Funeral Home.

Mr. Cooley died at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Veterans Hospital in Houston, Tex., after a brief illness.

He was a retired farmer and had lived in the DeQuincy area all his life. He was a member of Bear Pentecostal Church and a veteran of World War I.

Survivors are two sons, John Marvin and Lavelle Cooley, both of DeQuincy; six grandchildren, and two great-grandsons.
