John A. Hanes

ROSCOE (RNS) -- John Allison Hanes, 60, of Pensacola, Fla., formerly of Roscoe, died Thursday in Pensacola following a sudden illness. Funeral is pending with McCoy Funeral Home of Roscoe.

Mr. Hanes was born Sept. 9, 1912, in Seagoville.

He moved to Florida from Roscoe in 1938. He was a veteran of World War II.

Survivors are one son, John K. of Grand Prairie; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Grover Hanes of Roscoe; one brother, Grover M. Hanes of Sweetwater; three sisters, Mrs. Jewel Michaels [sic Michael] of Campbell, Calif., Mrs. Woodrow Kidd and Mrs. Weldon Cooper, both of Roscoe.
