John Jones Sr.

CENTREVILLE -- Funeral services for John Alvia Jones Sr., 93, of Calera, who died Saturday at Shelby County Nursing Home, were to be conducted today at 3 p.m. in the Enon Baptist Church.

Officiating ministers were to be the Rev. Percy Bamberg and the Rev. Howard Golden. Burial was to take place in the church cemetery with Jack Lee and Sons Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

He is survived by two sons, John A. Jones Jr. of Centreville and Grady Jones of Tuscaloosa; four daughters, Mrs. T. W. Lawrence and Mrs. D. M. Carroll, both of Calera, Mrs. Evelyn Hill of Selma and Mrs. J. M. Langston of West Blocton; one sister, Mrs. Annie Lou McKinney of Centreville; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
