John B. Coonce
(May 5, 1937 - June 23, 2010)

Mr. John B. Coonce, age 73 of Dodson, Louisiana passed away Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at his residence. He was a member of East Winnfield Baptist Church and the Dodson Road Hunting Club.

He was predeceased by his wife, Alice Tucker Coonce, son, Randy Coonce, sister, Yvonne Ball, three brothers, Erno, Everette and Elbert Coonce.

Mr. Coonce is survived by his son, Johnny Ball of Pineville, LA; two daughters, Diana Robertson of Joyce, LA: Pam Cochran of Dodson, LA; three grand-daughters, Denae Ball, Ericka Hodges, DeAnna Warren; two grandsons, Robert Coonce and John Dennis Ball; seven great grandchildren, Cameron, Collin, Cardin, Connor Warren; Levi and Hailey Hodges and Gavin Arnaud; two sisters, Yvette Gambrell of Farmerville, LA and Ynes Rodriguez of Galveston, TX; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM on Saturday, June 26, 2010 in the chapel of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield with Rev. Bruce Cardin officiating. Interment will follow in the Hurricane Creek Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family in the funeral home on Friday from 5-9PM and on Saturday from 9AM until service time.

Pallbearers will be Billy Boyer, Robert Coonce, Troy Tucker, John Hodges, Cameron Warren, Michael Mitchell. Honorary pallbearers will be John Dennis Ball, Donald Ray Boyett, John Coolman, Joseph Rodriguez, Dewayne Hennigan, Alvin Vines, Pat Ashley, Lonnie Tucker, Everette Ray Coonce, Jr., Harvey Turner.
