DEMOPOLIS -- John Calvin Johnson, age 94, of Demopolis, died Sunday, July 2, 2006 at Woodhaven Manor Nursing Home in Demopolis. Graveside services will be Tuesday, July 4, 2006 at 10 a.m. at Lipscomb Family Cemetery on Jefferson Road with Rev. Dennis Carlson officiating and Kidd-Robbins Funeral Directors of Demopolis directing.

John Calvin Johnson

John Calvin Johnson, 94, of Demopolis, died Sunday, July 2, 2006, at Woodhaven Manor Nursing Home in Demopolis.

Graveside services were held Tuesday, July 4, 2006, at Lipscomb Family Cemetery on Jefferson Road with Rev. Dennis Carlson officiating and under the direction of Kidd-Robbins Funeral Directors of Demopolis.

Mr. Johnson was retired from the Black Belt Diary Plant where he served as manager. He was a WW II Army veteran.

He is survived by his loving wife, Miriam Vaughan Johnson of Demopolis; two daughters, Carol Glass and her husband Mike and Miriam “Sissy” Wideman all of Demopolis; three grandchildren. Chad Wideman and his wife Beth of Demopelis, Michael Glass of Prattville, Amanda Miller and her husband Andy of North Carolina; and one great-grandson. Tanner Wideman of Demopolis.
