J. C. MCDANIEL

LUCEDALE -- Services were held at 3 p.m. today at George County Funeral Home for John Clement McDaniel, 85, who died Wednesday in a Meridian hospital after a long illness.

Rev. C. S. Schultz officiated. Burial was in Rocky Creek Cemetery.

Mr. McDaniel was a native of Jones County and had lived in George County for 47 years. He was a retired farmer.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Eula R. McDaniel; four daughters, Mrs. Ada Howell, Anaheim, Calif.; Mrs. Pauline Harris, Mrs. Byford Mallett and Miss Mary McDaniel, all of Lucedale; two sons, Lee McDaniel of Biloxi and Luther (Punch) McDaniel of Lucedale; two brothers, O. McDaniel of Laurel and Jim of New Iberia; five sisters, Mrs. Cenia Blackman, Picayune; Mrs. Nannie Blackledge, Mrs. Orena Baucum, Miss Betty McDaniel, and Mrs. Mollie Theologist, all of Laurel; 21 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
