CURTIS PRINCE
John Curtis Prince, 76, died Sunday at Schumpert Medical Center in Shreveport after a brief illness.
Funeral services were held Monday in the Marshall Street Chapel of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Shreveport with the Rev. Marshall McQueen, pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Carthage, and the Rev. James Stovall of Baton Rouge officiating. Burial was in Forest Park Cemetery.
Prince, a native of Winn Parish, had lived in Shreveport for 40 years before moving to Carthage. He was a retired employee of Riley-Beaird. He was a past member of both the Master Barbers and the Civitans and a present member of the First United Methodist Church of Carthage.
Survivors include his wife, Velda Prince of Carthage; two sons, Paul M. Prince of Slidell, La. and John C. Prince of Memphis; one sister, Merle Murray of Shreveport; and two brothers, E. E. Prince of Shreveport and Dr. Earl Prince of Monroe.
