John D. Arinder
Funeral services for John D. Arinder, 45, resident of 233 Springfield Circle, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday from Wright and Ferguson Chapel, with the Rev. John D. McDonald, his pastor officiating. Interment will follow in the Kalem cemetery in Scott county.
Arinder died suddenly Tuesday night at Baptist Hospital following a short illness.
A native of Quitman, he spent his childhood in Scott county, was a former resident of Houston, Texas, and had lived in Jackson for the past eight years, where he was engaged in the life insurance business. He was a member of Robinson Street Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon, president of the Training Union and taught a Sunday School Class. He was a Major in the Army Reserve, having served in World War II and the Korean conflict.
Survivors are his wife, the former Rose Adkins, and one daughter, Melanie Arinder, both of Jackson; his mother, Mrs. Nellie Arinder of Morton; two brothers, Tracy Arinder of Morton and Chaplain Robert Arinder, Keesler Air Force Base; and one sister, Mrs. Aldena Kersh of Canton.
