BELL, THE REV. JOHN D.

Died Friday, Jan. 13, 1995, at Earl K. Long Medical Center. He was 73, born Oct. 27, 1921, a native of Jackson, Ala., and a resident of Baton Rouge. He was a retired Methodist minister, having pastored churches in Northeast Louisiana and the Baton Rouge area and a veteran of World War II.

Visiting at Riser and Son Funeral Home Inc., Columbia, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday. Graveside services at Hebert Cemetery, Hebert, at 2 p.m. Monday, conducted by the Rev. M.C. Cady.

Survived by a son, the Rev.Perry Bell, DeForest, Wis.; a daughter, Dixie Cook, Plain Dealing; mother-in-law, Trudie Powell Beck, Plain Dealing; six grandchildren, Greg Russell, Anita Russell, Felicia Bell, Peter Bell, Stephanie Cook and Rachel Bell; and three great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by wife, Laverne Beck Bell.
