John D. Crum

March 8, 1935 -- April 24, 2000

GLOSTER -- Services for John D. ``Jack'' Crum, 65, of Crosby, who died Monday, April 24, 2000, near his residence in Crosby, will be at 11 a.m. today at Brown Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery near Crosby under the direction of Brown Funeral Home.

Visitation is from 9 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home.

Mr. Crum was born March 8, 1935, in Wilkinson County, the son of Tom Crum and Merritt Haney Crum.

He was employed with Buffalo Services and Texas Eastern Company as a Forrester. He was a member of the Hopewell Methodist Church and was a U.S. Army Veteran.

Mr. Crum was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Billy Jack Crum; and two brothers, Silas Crum and Jessie Crum.

Survivors include his wife, Billie Gail Nelson Crum of Crosby; one son, Gary Crum and his wife, Stacey of Centreville; two granddaughters, Donelle Crum and Ashton Crum; one brother, David Crum of Gloster; two sisters, Merit Ellen Arnold of Crosby; and Narvelle Courtney of Gloster.
