John D. Manley

John D. Manley, 58, of Akron, died July 19, 1995 at his home of natural causes.

Born in Copley, John graduated from Copley High School and attended the Ohio State University. He worked at the Crown Mold Co. in Streetsboro, and was an accomplished machinist and inventor, having invented the "Liquid Laser" amusement game. He was also an avid reader, and very much enjoyed his work.

He was preceded in death by his father, C. L. Manley, in 1970, and is survived by his mother, Myrtle Manley of Copley; son, Jeff; sisters, Tana and Majorie; nieces, Cynthia, Becky, Bonnie, and Kathy; nephews, Charles, William, and John; Uncle and Aunt Frank and Emma Heisler of Edinburg; great-nephews, Matt and David.

Memorial service will be Saturday, 12 noon, at the Hummel Funeral Home West, 3475 Copley Rd., Rev. Edwin Manners officiating, where friends may call from 11 a.m. until noon. Interment at Copley Cemetery, (Hummel West, Copley-Fairlawn, a Golden Rule Funeral Home, 253-6126.)
