John D. Worsham
John D. Worsham, age 71, of Nederland, passed away Monday, September 29, 2003 at Mid-Jefferson Hospital in Nederland. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5-8 pm on Tuesday, September 30, 2003 at Broussardis Mortuary, 505 12th. St. in Nederland. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 am Wednesday, October 1, 2003 at Broussardis Chapel in Nederland with Reverend Dan Malain officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
Mr. Worsham was born March 27, 1932 in Sweetwater, Texas and had been a resident of the Nederland area since 1956, having lived prior to that in Houston and in Austin. He was retired from the Texaco Refinery where he served as a supervisor in Employee Relations Dept. He was a member of the St. Charles Catholic Church in Nederland. He received a B.B.A. Degree from The University of Texas and was a U.S. Army veteran having served during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post # 4820 in Port Neches.
Survivors include his son-in-law, Tommy Reynolds of Port Neches; sister, Helen Davis of San Antonio; four brothers; A. T. Worsham of Abilene, Bud Worsham of Seal Beach, CA, George Worsham of Amarillo, Donald Worsham of Sweetwater; three grandchildren, Lee Jay, Guy, and Paul Reynolds; four great grandchildren.
Mr. Worsham was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Dugas Worsham; his daughter, Charlotte Ann Reynolds and two sisters.
