Funeral for 3 Set in Winnfield

WINNFIELD, La. -- Funeral services for three Winn parish men who were killed Sunday in an auto wreck in Illinois were scheduled today.

A double service was set for 2 p.m. in the Southern Funeral chapel for John Dale Allen, 24, and his brother, Joe D. Allen, 23. Rev. Ernest Walker and Rev. Earl D. Mercer were to officiate.

Burial was to be in Atlanta Cemetery.

The brothers are survived by their parents, Mrs. [sic Mr.] and Mrs. Earl Allen of Lake Charles; two brothers, Floyd Allen and Perry Allen of Atlanta; a sister, Miss Kirstine Allen of Lake Charles.

John Dale Allen is also survived by his widow and two sons, Kenneth Allen and Phillip Allen, all of Atlanta.

Services for Dalton Allen were scheduled at 11 a.m. in the Pleasant Hill Baptist church with Rev. Edward Smith officiating. Burial was to follow in Allen Cemetery.

He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ira Allen of Winnfield; four brothers, C. W. Allen, Hitchcock, Texas; Melvin Allen, Tatum, N. M. Bobby Allen, Shreveport, Ordell Allen, Winnfield; and a sister, Mrs. H. O. Yelverton of Shreveport.
