Funeral Services for Mr. John David Brady, 54, of West Monroe, LA will be 2:00 PM Friday, May 21, 2010 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe with Rev. Simeon Strickland and Sr. Pastor, R.E. Endsley officiating. Interment to follow at Roselawn Memorial Garden Cemetery in Calhoun, LA.
John David Brady was born June 7, 1955 in Winnsboro, LA and was a 1973 graduate of Winnsboro High School. He lost his long and valiantly fought battle with cancer on Tuesday, May 18, 2010 in West Monroe, LA. I, Jane Clampit Brady, his loving wife of 33 years and our children, Jennifer Gooden and husband, Stephen, Joshua Brady and wife, Wendy along with our sweet grandchildren, Johnna and Lindsey Claire Gooden and Annabella and Zachary Brady, witnesses of his courageous battle, lost our dearest and best friend.
John is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. A. E. and Mrs. Maggie Bell Brady; sister, Allie Carroll of Winnsboro, LA .
He is survived by his other family members, brother, James Brady and his wife, Joanne; sister, Dean Beatty and her husband, Bobby Joe; along with numerous nieces, nephews, family members.
Pallbearers will be his nephews, James, Johnny, and Johnny Jr. Brady, William and Mark Beatty, and Daryl Carroll. Honorary pallbearers will be the employees of Johnson and Associates Engineering, past and present.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday, May 20, 2010 at Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe.
Memorials may be made to the John Brady Benefit Account at Regions Bank.
The family wishes to thank everyone who upheld us through prayer, love and support during this difficult time. John's faith throughout his battle is exemplary of 2 Timothy 4:7 ``I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course. I have kept the faith. Henceforth, there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness which the Lord the righteous judge shall give me at that day: and not to me only but unto all them also that love his appearing.''
