John D. Anders

John Davis Anders, Sr., of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away on Thursday, November 15, 2012, at St. Joseph's Hospice Carpenter House in Baton Rouge. He was born on November 1, 1924, in Amite County, MS, and was an Air Force Veteran of WWII.
He is survived by the love of his life, his devoted and caring wife of 68 years, Doris Newbery Anders, of Romford Essex, England; three sons, Anthony, John Davis, Jr. and wife, Raye, and Kerry and wife, Rhonda, all of Baton Rouge; eight grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter in law, Patsy Fox Anders; and grandson, Jeremy Anders.
Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home 9595 Florida Blvd. on Saturday, November 17, 2012, from 12 noon until service at 2 PM. Interment will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
