JOHN D. CARTER

John D. Carter, 57, Route 2, Seminary, died unexpectedly Wednesday night at his family residence. He had been in failing health for some time and was a tire repairman by trade and a member of Kingston Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. from Thompson Funeral Home with Rev. R. E. Case and Rev. M. E. Burnett officiating.

Burial will be in Okahay Cemetery in Covington County. Named as pallbearers are Woodrow Musgrove, L. C. McDaniel, Carrol McDaniel, Morris McDaniel, Charles Moore and Robert Earl Ellzey.

Surviving are two daughters, Miss Mary Francis Carter and Miss Judy Carter, Laurel; two sisters, Mrs. Nolan Blackledge and Mrs. L. P. McNair, Laurel; and a brother, R. G. Carter, Laurel.

Thompson Funeral Home is in charge.
