Marshall -- Services for John Doss Mayfield, 89, of Marshall will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Travis Street Chapel of Sullivan Funeral Home with the Rev. Ernest Freeman officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Mr. Mayfield died Monday. He was born March 4, 1909, in the West Mountain community. Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
