NETHERY

RIO GRANDE CITY -- Dr. John E. Nethery, 77, born October 3, 1922, in Clarks, Louisiana, MD chiropractor, certified radiologist, passed away in McAllen Hospital after a long illness.

He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Romualda “Romy” Vela Nethery; cousins; nieces and nephews from Olla, Louisiana; nieces and nephews from Rio Granded City, Texas.

Dr. Nethery practiced medicine and chiropractic in Beaumont and in Sinton, Texas. He had recently moved to Rio Grande City.

Visitations was held Friday, March 31, 2000 from 2 to 9 p.m. with a holy rosary recited at 7 p.m. that same evening. A second visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 2:40 p.m. today, Saturday, April 1, 2000 at which time funeral procession will depart Hernandez Funeral Home for a 3 p.m. funeral mass at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Rio Grande City Cemetery.
