John E. Schmucker

Funeral services for John E. Schmucker, 46 years old, 4450 Virginia avenue, will be held at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday at the Park Place Christian church, Hutchinson, Kas.

Mr. Schmucker was killed Friday night in a 3-car collision on U. S. highway No. 69 north of the Tomahawk creek bridge in Johnson County.

He leaves his wife, Mrs. Ina Schmucker of the home; his father, Joel Schmucker, Sterling, Kas., and two brothers, Charles Schmucker, Hutchinson, and Roy Schmucker, Sterling.

John E. Schmucker, 46, Kansas City, formerly of Hutchinson and Sterling, was killed Friday night near Olathe in a three car crash.

Mr. Schmucker was born in Sterling, Apr. 22, 1905, attended school in Nickerson and at one time operated the Rosler service station at 2nd and Washington.

He had worked for the J. I. Case Plow company in Kansas City for the past 15 years. He was territorial manager for the western half of Missouri.

He is survived by his widow, Ina, of the home; his father, Joel, Sterling; two brothers, Roy, Sterling, and Charles, Hutchinson.

Mr. Schmucker was returning home alone from a Christmas visit with his wife's parents in Oklahoma City. His car was side-swiped and force[d] into the path of an oncoming car.

Funeral will be at 2:30 pm Tuesday in the Park Place Christian church with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. Revs. Roland Huff and N. J. Schmucker will officiate.
