John F. Eady
John F. Eady, age 84, passed away suddenly October 7, 2008 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff. He was born November 21, 1923 at Jena, LA, the son of the late John and Nancy (Ford) Eady. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the US Navy from 1943 to 1946. He was a lifetime member of the VFW, NRA and National Wild Turkey Federation. He retired as a Pipeline welder for the Gregory and Cook Company in Houston, Texas and had lived in Piedmont since 1990. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was married November 11, 1949 to Ruby Smith at Piggott, AR and she survives, residing in Piedmont. He is also survived by one niece, Lois Lake and her husband Gerald of Gardner, KS, as well as several cousins.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM Friday, October 10 at the Morrison-Worley Funeral Chapel in Piedmont. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Saturday, October 11 at the chapel with Rev. Gerald Lake officiating. Interment with military honors will be at the Clay Cemetery near Piedmont.
