John F. Rolen, Benton Native

Funeral services for John Franklin Rolen, 74, a longtime Birmingham resident, who died Thursday at his home, 4505 Fifth-av, $, were held Saturday.

Services were held at Brown-Service Norwood Chapel, with the Rev. James Cantrell officiating. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery.

A native of Benton, Ala., Mr. Rolen had made his home here for 40 years. He was a retired Birmingham Transit Co., employe. He was employed by that firm for 30 years, and was a member of the Third Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Lillian R. Bailey of Benton, Mrs. C. M. Horsley of Birmingham, and a son, John H. Rolen of Jacksonville, Fla.
