J. C. GIRLINGHOUSE

JENA (Spl.) -- Funeral services for Johnie C. Girlinghouse, 68, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Shady Grove Pentecostal Church here.

The Rev. S. T. White will officiate. Burial will be in Nevo [sic Nebo] Cemetery here.

Mr. Girlinghouse died at 3:55 a.m. Tuesday in a hospital here.

A native of Mansfield [sic Manifest], Mr. Girlinghouse was a veteran of World War I. He had been a resident of Jena for approximately 23 years.

He was employed as a motor patrol operator for the LaSalle Parish Police Jury.

Survivors are his wife; two sons, Gerald Girlinghouse of the United States Navy, Lloyd Girlinghouse of Sulphur; four daughters, Mrs. Juanita Hudnall of Sulphur, Mrs. Johnny Lee Davidson of Jena, Mrs. Wynoia Hymon of Cartersville, Ga., Mrs. Carrie Joyce Cripps of Alexandria.

Also two sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Paul of Jena and Mrs. Melissa Broussard of Sulphur; six brothers, Judge Girlinghouse of Jena, Rodney Girlinghouse of Jena, Quitman Girlinghouse of Winnsboro, Tollie Girlinghouse of Pascagoula, Miss., Archie Girlinghouse of Walters, La., and Govie Girlinghouse of Baton Rouge; 11 grandchildren.
