J. I. McCARTY

John I. McCarty, 41, a resident of 2331 Flowers Dr., Laurel, died Monday in a Laurel hospital.

McCarty, who was born in Jasper County was employed as a service station operator. He was also a veteran of World War II.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 10 a.m., from Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. The Rev. John P. Robinson will officiate. Burial will be in Hickory Grove Cemetery. Rosary will be said Tuesday evening at 8 o'clock at Memory Chapel.

Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Martha O'Donnell McCarty; one son, Edward McCarty; two daughters, Miss Agnes McCarty, and Miss Geni McCarty, all of Laurel; his step-father, George Kendall, Battle Creek, Mich.; and a cousin, E. L. Bishop of Laurel.
