WILDA, La. -- John Ivan Dear, 94, died Tuesday at 8:35 p.m. in a Lake Charles hospital. He was a resident of Wilda.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. in Camp Eight Pentecostal church with Rev. Robert Zumalt officiating. Burial will follow in Hemphill Star cemetery under direction of Ardoin's Funeral Home, Oakdale.
He is survived by his wife, Louise Dear of Alexandria; two sons, Oliver Dear of Westlake and Arthur Dear of Gardener; 12 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
