CRIGLER

JOHN LEWIS CRIGLER II, 72, passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2008 in Houston surrounded by family and close friends.

John was born in St. Joseph, LA on January 21, 1936 to John L. and Ida B. (Pritchard) Crigler. He grew up in Montgomery, AL and as a boy enjoyed the outdoors, sports, and was proud to have been an Eagle Scout. As a young man, he joined the Army, and while stationed in Germany met the love of his life, Hannelore Hansen. After they were married, the couple returned to Baton Rouge, LA where John attended LSU School of Engineering. He was in sales for many years before semi-retiring and moving to California. He loved spending time with his bride and the two of them took many short trips to the coast, the wine country, and their favorite casinos. An avid sports fan, golfer, and fisherman he will be remembered for his love of family and close friends, and his carefree, positive attitude towards life.

John is survived by his wife of 53 years, Lori Crigler; sons John L. Crigler III (Joe) and his wife Stacy, Mike Crigler and wife Cindi, Tom Crigler and wife Candy; 13 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Jackie Roper; nieces, nephews and many close friends.

A memorial service will be held at11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 3, 2008 in the chapel of Waltrip Funeral Directors.
