John Marinchek

John Marinchek, 63, of 1000 S. Linden, Normal, chief clerk to the master mechanic with the Gulf, Mobile and Ohio Railroad, died Saturday night at Missouri Pacific Hospital in St. Louis following an illness of several months.

His funeral will be at 3 p.m. Monday at the Beck Memorial Home. The Rev. Albert Glock will officiate, and burial will be in Park Hill Cemetery.

There will be no visitation.

Mr. Marinchek was born at Thayer Jan. 18, 1906, a son of Andrew and Mary Olyear Marinchek, and married Jennabella Whittington in Bloomington Dec. 27, 1931.

Surviving are his wife; a son, John, Lombard; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Schoenborn, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; Mrs. Ann Wallner, San Raphael, Calif.; a brother, Andrew, Tucson, Ariz.; a grandson.

He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Normal and sang in its choir many years.
