JOHN M. STOVALL SR.

Funeral services for John M. Stovall Sr., 61, of Carthage, were held Monday, July 31, at the First United Methodist Church here with the Rev. Marshall McQueen officiating.

Burial followed in the Forest Park Cemetery in Shreveport.

Mr. Stovall, a retired auto dealer, died Saturday, July 29, at his home. He was a member of the Carthage Rotary Club, the Masonic Lodge and the First United Methodist Church of Carthage. He was also a veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Kathryn Stovall of Carthage; four sons, Dr. John M. Stovall Jr. of Crockett, Robert D. Stovall of Oklahoma City, Okla., William G. Stovall of Germany and Perry J. Stovall of Clarksville; five sisters, Mrs. Velda Prince of Carthage and Mrs. Sarah Fouts, Mrs. Maurine McCarty, Mrs. Evelyn Finuf and Mrs. Carlotta Ferguson, all of Shreveport; two brothers, D. M. Stovall Jr. of Carthage and the Rev. James L. Stovall of Baton Rouge; and 12 grandchildren.
