JOHN MONROE EZELL

JENA, La., April 18. -- (Special) -- John Monroe Ezell, 75, well known farmer of LaSalle and resident of Jena for seventy-one years, died at the Charity hospital in Pineville on April 11 at 2 p.m. of heart disease.

The deceased was born in Jackson parish and was married to Miss Mamie Heard, deceased, in 1890. He was a member of the First Baptist church of Jena.

Funeral services were held April 12 with Rev. Lee Brooks of Rhinehart officiating. Interment was made at the Nolley Memorial cemetery in Jena under the direction of Kinner & Stevens funeral home of Jena.

Surviving are four daughters: Mrs. W. L. Garrett of De Ridder, Mrs. D. D. Shaw of Jena, Mrs. J. D. O'Quin of Texas City, Tex., and Mrs. S.D. Hanes of Jena.
