Services Today For J. N. Smelley

ARCADIA, March 10 (Special) -- Funeral services will be held Tuesday from the Arcadia Baptist Church for John N. Smelley, 66, who died in a local hospital here yesterday.

Mr. Smelley was a retired merchant in Arcadia.

The services will be held at 3 p.m. with the Rev. E. D. Giddens and the Rev. R. L. Peyton officiating. Burial will be in Arcadia cemetery under the direction of Conger Funeral Home.

Survivors are his widow; one daughter, Mrs. J. A. Terrill of Shreveport; one son, Col. James M. Smelley of the U. S. Army; one sister, Mrs. O. C. Wedgeworth of Arcadia; one brother, Ed Murphy of Liberty Hill; and five grandchildren.
