John Nixon Sibley, Sr.

Memorial services for John Nixon Sibley, Sr. will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 4, 2012, at the chapel of Hixson Brothers, Pineville, with Reverend Mike Hein officiating. There will be a graveside service at the Inurnment at 3:00 p.m. at Mulhearn Memorial Park, Monroe, Louisiana, under the direction of Hixson Brothers, Pineville.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 4, 2012, at Hixson Brothers, Pineville, from 8:00 a.m. until service time.

Mr. Sibley, 63, of Pineville, passed away Monday, October 1, 2012, at The Oaks Care Center, Pineville.

He was a truck driver for J. B. Hunt. Mr. Sibley was a loving father, and grandfather. Mr. Sibley played keyboard in several bands in the Miss/Lou area. His first band was Jute Kaleidoscope and his favorite song to play on the keyboard was “Whiter Shade of Pale”.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Sie & Robbie Lee Nixon Sibley; brother, Jimmie Sie Sibley; sister, Lucy Murle Sibley Godfrey.

Those left to cherish his memory include his sons, John Claude “Chip” Reynolds of Monroe, John Nixon Sibley, Jr. of Lenoir City, TN; daughters, Amy Sibley Dufrene & husband Stephen of Pineville, Anna Leigh Sibley of Alexandria, Aaron Kathleen Sibley of Alexandria; one grandson, Caleb Christopher Dufrene, Caleb called him Grandfader.
