Sills Funeral Services Held In Area Today

CROWVILLE (Special) -- Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. today for John P. Sills at Crowville Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. C. T. Smith.

Mr. Sills, 85, died Sunday at his home following a long illness. He was a member of the Crowville Baptist Church.

Burial was in Crowville Masonic cemetery under direction of First National Funeral Home of Winnsboro.

Survivors include six daughters, Mrs. Ruby Logan, Rayville; Mrs. Elaine Kelly, Crowville; Mrs. Nell Tolbert, Slidell; Mrs. Lyle Brown, Waco, Tex.; Mrs. Dixie Smith, South America; Mrs. Ann Thornhill, Oklahoma; fuor [sic four] sons, W. W. Sills, Denver City, Tex.; Dr. R. R. Sills, Natchitoches; Oswald Sills, Port Neches, Tex.; Norris E. Sills, Rockaway, N. J.; a sister, Mrs. D. L. McVay, Enterprise; a half-brother, Walter Holmes, Epps; 31 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
