John Blake

John Ray Blake, 67, of Bristol, Tenn., formerly of Birmingham, died today in Bristol.

Mr. Blake, a member of the Edgemont Presbyterian Church in Bristol, was a resident of Bristol for 15 years. He was a member of the Elks Club, American Legion and VFW. He was chef de Gare of 40 et 8 Club.

A life member of the Masonic Lodge, he was a past master of the lodge and of the St. Omar Commandery.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Elmwood, Johns-Ridout's Elmwood Chapel directing.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Winnie Bradley Blake; two daughters, Mrs. Frances B. Satterthwaite of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Mrs. Emily B. Vail of Hampton-Sydney College, Va.; two brothers, Virgil L. Blake and W. E. Blake, both of Bessemer; three sisters, Mrs. W. P. Crowson of Knoxville, Tenn.; Mrs. Mary Hughes of Birmingham; and Mrs. A. B. Tyler of Fort Myers, Fla., and five grandchildren.
