Ray Crum

Funeral services for Ray Crum, 84, of Fort Necessity were held Saturday at Fort Necessity Baptist Church with the Rev. Scott Covington, the Rev. Hershell Clanton, the Rev. Don Blackmon and the Rev. Milton Williams officiating.

Interment followed in the church cemetery under the direction of Communituy Funeral Home of Winnsboro.

Mr. Crum died Friday, Jan. 15, 1999 at Franklin Medical Center after an extended illness. He was a resident of Franklin Parish, retired farmer, member of Fort Necessity Baptist Church and served in the United States Army during World War II. He is preceded in death by his wife Effie N. Crum.

Survivors include his children, JoAnn Wollerson, Johnnie and Rhonda Crum, all of Fort Necessity, brothers, Pete Crum and Huey Crum, both of Fort Necessity, Tommy Crum and Sula Crum, both of Jigger; four grandsons; three great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were James David Smith, Rocky Gallagher, James Moore, Glynn Gallagher, Kent Nichols and Lamar Gallagher.
