John R. Diffey

Funeral services for John R. Diffey, 69, of 531 Wall St., will be held at 2:30 p.m. today in the Wellman's Funeral Home Chapel with Brothers Wayne Dement and Charles Holeyfield of Pease Chapel, Assembly of God, officiating.

Burial will be in the Filmore Cemetery in Bossier Parish.

Pallbearers will be W. D. Askew, Claide May, Tommie Rodgers, Guy Martin, Robert Musser and Merce Almond.

Mr. Diffey, a retired oil field worker, died at 12:15 p.m. Monday in Confederate Memorial Hospital.

He was a native of Haughton and had been a resident of Shreveport most of his life. He was a member of the Methodist Church.

Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Leda B. Messer [sic Musser] of Shreveport and Mrs. Ruth Cook of Haughton, and a number of nieces and nephews.
